Annette Pfannensteil, Ph.D.
Annette presented the "Miracle" Project she has designed for first year medical students at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, Institute for Maternal and Child Health, in Syracuse, New York. It provides 20-25 medical students with both academic and personal clinical experience working one to one with families from mid-pregnancies through the child's first birthday in the capacity as a co-learner. The learn to apply her principles of "Pre- & Perinatal Primary Parenting," explore the psychosocial dimensions of care, study the impact of pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding on family health and family building! The presentation included the beautiful music and video pictures used in the program for relaxation with pregnant moms.

Suzanne presented a stirring summation about present conditions of birthing and the urgency of change.

Belden Johnson, M.F.T.
Belden presented an inspiring personal story from his own experience and invited discussion about honoring fathers-past, present, and future.
Bob Mandel
Bob presented his innovative program on the genesis of self-esteem among school children.
Luncheon Table Topics and Leaders
Friday
Some luncheon tables had a sign stating a theme and moderator; the moderators shared ideas on that topic and facilitating discussion for those who chose to sit there. (Other tables were free for general use.)
Lotus Birth - Jeannine Parvati Baker: Placenta delivery and early postpartum are new fields of investigation. Lotus Birth supports the connection between the father, baby and mother by keeping the cord in tact.

Re-create Your Life - Morty Lefkoe: Discussed ways to re-create your life and describes beliefs that are responsible for most dysfunctionality.
Tools for Healing Attachment Trauma - Susan Love: Focused on healing attachment trauma, particularly where adoption is involved including tools for assessment and treatment.
Genital Integrity - Marilyn Milos: Discussed the right of every child to genital integrity.
Movement for Bonding - Beverly Stokes: Discussed developmental movements that build the brain, body and joy of babies for body-confidence, expressive communication and self-motivated learning.
Special Needs and Projects - Laura Uplinger: An opportunity to share and discuss with people from other countries your experiences, visions and challenges working in the pre-and perinatal field.
Pre - and Perinatal Trauma Effects from Anesthesia and Surgery - Raymond
