I am a Psychiatrist with main interests in individual and couples psychotherapy. My approach is eclectic depending on the needs and capacities of the patient. I like working with dreams and childhood memories uncovering hidden traumas. I encourage patients to tape their sessions so they can listed to them again and learn more about themselves. Also, I ask patients to keep a diary for recording their thoughts and feelings regarding their last session, their dreams and any emotionally charged experiences they may have had recently. My sessions are 45 minutes long though sometimes I extend them to 90 minutes. Psychotherapy patients I usually see once a week. All fees are covered for an indefinite period by the Ontario Health Plan.
