Brief Bio: Eileen Sendrey is a Pre- and Peri-Natal Educator, working individually with families with infants, children, and teens. Additionally, she facilitates Conscious Parenting group classes supporting family relationships pre-conception, pregnancy, and post-partum. She offers private sessions and group work for adults and families in somatic healing of early developmental trauma; General well-baby post-birth home visits; Massage and Pre-natal Yoga; She has a Certificate of Completion in Myrna Martin’s Advanced Peri and Post Natal Psychology and Body Into Being Training with Ray Castellino and Anna Chitty; Certified Breema Practitioner & Instructor for 20 years; Whole Birth Yoga Instructor; California Certified Massage Therapist with over 20 years experience and (BCST) Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
Brief Bio: Alexandra R Johnson, MD is a Family Medicine Physician, Breema Practitioner and Instructor, and Hypnotist. She has been teaching Breema in the US and internationally since 2003. She practices full spectrum family medicine with obstetrics, and has worked in residency education, rural health centers, and with immigrant and refugee populations both in the US and Ethiopia. She works extensively in the perinatal period and in childbirth to heal the impacts of developmental trauma, birth trauma, and female infibulation practices. She believes in the importance of dialogue and integrative techniques in all aspects of medicine, and was recently featured in the film Why Not Home: The Surprising Birth Choices of Doctors and Nurses, discussing the importance of communication to improve birth outcome regardless of location. Dr Johnson co-created a physician wellness curriculum for residency education, which has been used as a model for residencies across the country, and recently finished a study on the impact of a gratitude practice for community health workers.
Brief Bio: Birthe Kaarsholm, RSMT, CMT, Breema® Practitioner/Instructor, Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner, and Laban Bartenieff Movement Analyst. She is a Staff Instructor at the Breema Center in Oakland, CA, maintaining a national and international teaching schedule. Birthe is featured in the documentary “The Moving Child — Supporting Early Development Through Movement” which educates about the importance of dynamic movement in social, emotional and physical development of infants and children.
In her private practice, Breema supports a creative balance that is deeply nurturing, vitalizing and beneficial for both herself and clients. With its simple and practical method unifying body, mind, and feelings, Breema helps her support a tangible experience of presence and acceptance to her client practitioner relationships. Additionally, she practices Body-Mind Centering in her “Baby Moves” classes for parents and infants in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through observation, movement and presence these classes aim to support parents to explore the progression of early childhood development.
