As an approved provider, APPPAH intends to offer Continuing Education Credits for mental/behavioral health practitioners and nurses through Commonwealth Educational Seminars; for massage therapists and bodyworkers through NCBTMB; and for childbirth educators and doulas through CAPPA.

 

Continuing Education Credit for this program is awarded by Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) for the following professions: 

Psychologists: Commonwealth Educational Seminars is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Commonwealth Educational Seminars maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Psychologists completing a pre-congress workshop will receive 8.0 hours of continuing education credit. Psychologists completing all plenary sessions and three breakout sessions will receive 16.0 hours of continuing education credit. Psychologists completing a post-congress workshop will receive 4.0 hours of continuing education credit.

Social Workers: Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Social Workers. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for Social Workers. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Social Workers completing a pre-congress workshop will receive 8.0 clinical hours of continuing education credit. Social Workers completing all plenary sessions and three breakout sessions will receive 16.0 hours of continuing education credit. Social Workers  completing a post-congress workshop will receive 4.0 hours of continuing education credit.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists: Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for LMFTs. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content. LMFTs completing a pre-congress workshop will receive 8.0 hours of continuing education credit. LMFTs completing all plenary sessions and three breakout sessions will receive 16.0 hours of continuing education credit. LMFTs completing a post-congress workshop will receive 4.0 hours of continuing education credit.

Licensed Professional Counselors/Licensed Mental Health Counselors: Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Licensed Professional Counselors/Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for LPCs/LMHCs. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  LPCs/LMHCs completing a pre-congress workshop will receive 8.0 hours of continuing education credit. LPCs/LHMCs completing all plenary sessions and three breakout sessions will receive 16.0 hours of continuing education credit. LPCs/LMHCs  completing a post-congress workshop will receive 4.0 hours of continuing education credit. 

Nurses: As an American Psychological Association (APA) approved provider, CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, (Provider Number CEP15567), which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing. Nurses completing a pre-congress workshop receive 8.0 CE hours of credit. Nurses completing all plenary sessions and three breakout sessions will receive 16.0 hours of continuing education credit. Nurses completing a post-congress workshop will receive 4.0 hours of continuing education credit.

Grievance Policy

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to make every attempt to resolve grievances in a fair manner. Please submit a written grievance to CES, 1020 Osterville West Barnstable Rd, Marstons Mills, MA 02648. Grievances will initially be directed to the training instructor. Grievances would receive, to the best of our ability, corrective action in order to prevent further problems. It is the participant's responsibility to check with their individual state boards to verify CE requirements for their state.

Massage, Body Workers, and Doulas through NCBTMB: APPROVED for 16 hours during the congress. In addition, there are eight hours available for pre-congress workshops, and four hours for post congress workshops. Sign in and sign out each day. Your hours will be calculated based upon completed evaluations for each session attended.

Childbirth Educators and Doulas through CAPPA. This continuing education activity was approved by CAPPA. The opinions and materials presented at this continuing education offering do not necessarily reflect the official views or positions of CAPPA. For clarification on CAPPA approach or position, please see the CAPPA website at: www.cappa.net. Approval valid through October 1st, 2020. Certificate #: 102019-28, for 16 CAPPA contact hours for the main congress and 8 for the pre congress workshops and 4 for post congress workshops.

The fee per licensure/certificate for continuing education is $65 for all professionals. For multiple licenses/certificates, there is an additional $30 fee for each additional license/certification.   

No refund will be given for non-attendance or incomplete documentation.

APPPAH maintains primary responsibility for the program and adheres to all sponsorship guidelines for providing CE credit pertaining to approved providers.
