APPPAH Live: The Wisdom of Our Ancestors for Preconception, Pregnancy and Birth with Andrea Kalff, Doula, Shaman, Author

September 25 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

The Wisdom of Our Ancestors for Preconception, Pregnancy and Birth

Tune in for a dynamic presentation with Andrea, where she will discuss the connection and power of our ancestors before preconception, pregnancy & birth for the mother and partners and families.  Andrea says: ” The love and joy that I got to experience very early in my life and then throughout my pregnancies and child births are what made me pursue my passion as a Doula. As a mother of five children, I can offer significant knowledge about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. As a Doula, it is important for me to focus on the whole: the birth, being a birth companion, supporting before, during, and after labor.
I have been a Doula for over 20 years and have worked as a certified Senior Doula in Europe and Hawaii.
Through experiencing different cultures and all the individual rituals of birth and welcoming a child into the world I would make the perfect fit to guide your needs. Experiencing women in their most potent and vulnerable state while giving birth is truly one of the most amazing things I have witnessed.
I am very honored to guide and support couples through their journey of pregnancy and its beautiful shapes. To be beside you and receive the gift of guiding you through a life-changing time is a true blessing and the main reason for me working as a Doula.”

Andrea Kalff, Doula, Shaman, Author

Born and raised in the Chiemgau/ Germany, Andrea was far away in her consciousness, from her spiritual path or rather from her life vocation until she was 32 years old. When she was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and was discovered by the South Korean shaman Kim Keum Hwa at a shaman congress at Mondsee in Austria, Andrea’s life changed abruptly. In the same year she was the first European to be initiated into Korean shamanism. She received a Naerim Gut ritual (initiation ritual) in South Korea. For her, living as a shaman not only means fulfilling the social function of interpreter and mediator between humans and the powers behind the veil of nature, spirits, deities, etc. No, it means much more: It is a path of the heart, of service, humility, renunciation, responsibility and acceptance in IT IS.
