APPPAH Live: A Practical Guide to Bonding Analysis with Christa Balkenhol-Wright, Certified Prenatal Bonding Analyst

October 3 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

A Practical Guide to Bonding Analysis – Bonding-Related Support in Pregnancy

Two Hungarian psychotherapists, Dr. György Hidas and Dr. Jenö Raffai, developed a revolutionary new method that allows pregnant women to get into close emotional and mental contact with their unborn baby and to deepen this bond throughout pregnancy. The Bonding Analysis method enables pregnant women to address bonding problems they might have, find their origins and consequently appropriate solutions so that prenatal bonding becomes possible. Several topics will be depicted, factors which might impede prenatal bonding such as maternal stress, twin loss in utero, effects of reproductive medicine, epigenetics and its significance for pregnancy.
Prenatal bonding benefits both, mother and baby. The baby feels perceived as an independent personality. It becomes aware of its self-esteem and consequently gains self-confidence. Maturation and development of the brain are being stimulated and the baby’s health is being boosted all through pregnancy.

Christa Balkenhol-Wright, Certified Prenatal Bonding Analyst

Christa Balkenhol-Wright obtained a diploma in translation from the University of Geneva in Switzerland and worked for many years in the language and translation service of a German ministry, specializing in psychology, medicine, biotechnology and biomedical engineering. At one point in time she discovered prenatal psychology offered her all answers to questions no other psychological approach could give her. And that was even more true when she learnt about Bonding Analysis. She organized and attended Dr. Raffai’s last three-year Bonding Anaylsis (BA) training course that he ran in Cologne together with Dr. Ludwig Janus. She became certified as prenatal bonding analyst in 2016. In addition, she was trained in hypnosis and regression techniques. She has been accompanying pregnant women with BA since 2016 and has also developed her own BA training concept as described in the present booklet. She is now offering her online courses in English, German and French.
