Dr. Heather Mattner, is a Perinatal Health Psychologist and Midwife with an extensive background in maternal/infant healthcare, midwifery practice, research and education, models of practice development and review, perinatal mental health and wellbeing, perinatal Aboriginal health and wellbeing and primary healthcare. Heather is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at The University of Adelaide. Her publications include, Better Birth, with Lareen Newman, and Evaluation of the National Perinatal Depression Initiative, with Chris Ciancio. She is currently working on a new book about perinatal PTSD and trauma.
