APPPAH Live: Prenatal Bonding (BA) What, When, How, and Why with Barbara C Decker, HBCE, PPNE, Certified Prenatal Bonding (BA) Facilitator

January 23 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Prenatal Bonding (BA) What, When, How, and Why

Facilitating the Prenatal Bonding (BA) program to families has been the most inspiring work that Barbara has done in the past 50 years of teaching childbirth education. Although there are other Prenatal Bonding programs available, in this lecture she will share with you why PB(BA) is such an intensive training and takes the two years to feel comfortable working with these families. She will delve into an intensive history of both partners and generations previous, if possible. As the couples explore their past, they uncover circumstances that they never thought could influence themselves for a lifetime. This helps them understand their own relationship and how they want to nurture their babies. The families build a two-way dialogue with their baby during the pregnancy and prepare the baby for being a separate individual.

Barbara will share two case studies of unusual experiences to help you understand the importance of this work and what is involved in the training.

Barbara C Decker, HBCE, PPNE, Certified Prenatal Bonding (BA) Facilitator

Although Barbara has been teaching childbirth education for over 50 years, it was HypnoBirthing 20 years ago, that brought her to the field of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology. It was the knowledge she received after reading The Secret Life of the Unborn Child by Thomas Verny, that drew her to APPPAH. That was over 12 years ago and since that time, she has trained for 2.5 years with Dr. Gerhard Schroth in the Prenatal Bonding (BA) Program (Only 12 facilitating in the US.) and was one of the first graduates of the APPPAH PPNE Program. She states: “her passion for educating parents on the importance of the preconception/gestational period led me to write a new paradigm in childbirth education – EmpoweringPregnancy, a pre-conception, early childbirth education course.” PPN is the newest, most profound education we can offer birthing families. As Thomas Verny says, “Womb Ecology is World Ecology”. Let’s change the world to be a more loving, peaceful place.
